Hi All

We now have a finalised season structure from Baseball Canberra for the 2019/20 season.

This was discussed in depth at the Canberra Baseball council meeting last week.

In summary, many of the changes that were identified in the proposals have not been made but there have been some smaller changes that have come through. These are as follows:

Seniors

3rd Grade will now be played at 3:30 pm on Saturday afternoons instead of Sunday mornings with the women’s league taking it’s place at 10:00am Sunday mornings. Game times for 4th Grade will be 1:15pm and 5th Grade will be 11:00am, both on Saturdays.

There will also be the introduction of a Masters competition, to be played on Monday nights, at club grounds. This competition is designed for 45 years and over. Game length will be 1.5 hours and be a shortened season (likely 10 rounds) with the competition set to start in November.

1st Grade mid week games will only be played on Wednesday nights on either diamond 1 or 2.

Juniors

Almost all junior games will be played at Narrabundah, with games times found in the attachment. The exception is Junior League (U/15) which will be played at club grounds on Saturday mornings at 8:45.

Senior League (U/17), has been changed to a colt’s competition and will likely be an U/18 age group.

Little League Major midweek games will be played on either a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evening at Narrabundah. Junior League mid week games will be played at club grounds on Wednesday evenings.

Finalised draws have not yet been provided by Baseball Canberra but I will forward on once I have these details.

Thanks for all of those who provided input and comments for the proposed structure.

Thanks
