Upcoming Dates and Important Information

19 Sep by Simon Beard

Committee Meeting – 7pm Tuesday 23 September
Location: Aranda Fire Station
Agenda to come out soon. Priority matters for discussion include planning for the upcoming working bee, ratification of the new executive, and outstanding items needed to be completed before the season kicks off! All club members are welcome to attend.

Working Bee – 10am Saturday 27 September
Location: Aranda Playing Fields
The playing surface and the club facilities are in need of maintenance, and a working bee will be held to address as many issues as we can. Many hands make light work, so we’re looking for as many volunteers as possible to help get the ground in playing shape. I’m told there might even be sausages..

Scorers Clinics
Several sessions are coming up for learning to score. The game can’t run without scorers, and it’s a fantastic way to get involved if you’re new to the game.
- Little League Scoring Clinics (for those just starting to score) 7pm Thursday 9 October, or Tuesday 14 October
- Game Changer Clinics 7pm Wednesday 1 October or Wednesday 8 October
If you’re interested in any of the above sessions, please contact scoring coordinator Vicki Beard on 0409325763

Calling All Coaches!
An EOI for coaching roles is currently out. If you’re interested in coaching, at any level, please reach out to president@actbandits.com.au.

Field Closures
Just a reminder that the public playing fields in Canberra are currently closed and cannot be used for organised sport until the start of October. The club facilities, such as the batting cage, can still be used, however the diamond and outfield cannot. Senior training will still go ahead at 2pm Sunday 21 September, working within these restrictions.

Junior Training
Please stay tuned for details of pre-season training for juniors. We appreciate a lot of you are keen for this info, so please keep an eye out on TeamApp and Facebook over the next few days.

Registrations are OPEN!

Feedback
For anyone still reading, you may (or may not..) have noticed a concerted effort to improve communications within the club. Communication is tricky; depending on who you ask there is always either too much or too little, and as we try new things it’s likely we will occasionally miss the mark. Take this bulletin for example; a range of content in a  single place. Is it helpful, or is it overwhelming? I would like to invite club members to let us know how we’re doing. In particular, what sort of thing do you want to hear about, and how do you like to receive messaging from the club (TeamApp? Facebook? Email?). Please let us know.
